frank kenny - central pacific railway (n)

Frank Kenny’s layout is located in Torrance.

Frank's N scale layout models the UP and the BNSF railroads in central California from Mojave through Tehachapi to Fresno in the modern era.  The main room is about 400 square feet, while a second room of about 120 square feet has two staging yards worked by a "mole" plus the dispatcher.  Also, a clerk works outside the layout.  The layout is double-decked with the valley on the lower level and mountains on the upper level.  Frank has held op sessions for more than ten years, and has gradually added lower level lighting, signaling, detection, automated staging, a dispatcher panel, and JMRI.  The scenery is well underway and the scene around Tehachapi Loop is spectacular.
