Research Committee

The Research Department is responsible for developing, prioritizing, and assigning research projects in the area of layout design, both internal to the LDSIG and in conjunction with other organizations, such as the NMRA Standards and Conformance Department.

At present, this activity has only begun. The first task is to collect a list of potential research topics, then to prioritize them, and finally to find volunteers to conduct and publish the research.

We have one project in the organizational stages at present: Roadbed Noise Level. Volunteer participation for this project will be solicited at a later date.
