Gary Gross’ Franklin Pacific Railroad — Layout Design Special Interest Group

Gary’s Franklin Pacific Railroad is set in Missouri in 1958 and is a class 1 railroad with switching. Through trains include Missouri Pacific and St Louis San Francisco. Scenery on the Franklin Pacific is completed. The three level layout is on a 12’ by 19’ footprint and includes 2 helixes and a classification yard. The layout was featured in the January 2020 NMRA Magazine.

Franklin Pacific EMD SW7 #6060 has picked up scrap from Pacific Salvage in East Franklin, Missouri and is preparing for delivery at Franklin Yard.

Franklin Pacific ALCO RS-3 extra #FP2105 works customer sidings in Knobel.

Westbound freight train #111 lead by Missouri Pacific EMD RS-3 #4502 rounds the bend passing McSorley’s Old Ale House on its way to Kansas City.

SLSF EMD E8 #2016 leading the eastbound Meteor passenger train, prepares to stop at the Brennan, Missouri station for passenger and baggage pickup/delivery and to pick up orders from the station agent.
