Mike Devaney's Ashland, Huntington and Hinton Divisions of the C&O Railway

Mike models the Chesapeake and Ohio from the Limeville Bridge to Hinton West Virginia in N scale.  The major feature is the 1550 ft bridge at Limeville Ohio.  The bridge is modeled to scale.  The major towns of Russell, Ashland, Catlettsburg and Huntington are modeled on the top level.  Russell yard is modeled along with the key industries along this area.  This is a true Mushroom Design with a large width top level, over a three level shelf configuration on the lower level.&nb

Crew Heimer's Western & Atlantic Railroad

Crew Heimer's Western and Atlantic Railroad is a HO scale layout set in 1939.  The line is from Atlanta to Chattanooga.

Bob McIntyre's Susquehanna Valley & Southern RR

Bob is the Chairman of Peachtree Express 2013.  He has been working hard to bring you a wonderful convention.  Yet he still has made some time for us to visit his railroad.  Be sure to thank him for all the work of leading the committee that is putting on this year's convention.

Jared Harper's ATSF Alma Branch

Jared Harper’s Alma branch of the ATSF is a John Armstrong designed pike featuring numerous scratch built structures, a plan that closely follows the original track plan of the branch, and an operating scheme that harkens back to the hey day of the branch’s traffic movement. There will be no 100 car trains pounding the main here, just small steamers going about the business of bringing a prairie branch to life.

Track is code 70 for the main with code 55 used in the sidings and yards.

Mike Paslawskyj’s Delaware, Lackawanna & Western

Mike Paslawskyj’s Delaware, Lackawanna & Western depicts the operations in the late 1950's of this trunk carrier with almost all trafic originated or terminated on its system.  Mike models the run from Stroudsburg PA to Scranton PA with pusher grades on both sides of the mountain. Visible mainline will be about 300 feet and the rise to the summit of the grade is approximately 34 inches on a 2.5% grade. Max train length will be thirty 40-foot cars plus power and caboose.

Mike Deaton's CJL Railway System

Mike Deaton’s CJL Railway System is a large multi-deck HO scale layout depicting operations along the Joint Line between Denver and Pueblo, Colorado.

The action takes place between 1972 and 1978.

This layout was started in 2003 and the Golden Spike ceremony took place in 2009. With a 400’ mainline run planned, there will be plenty of opportunity to witness long trains struggling to climb the 2.5% ruling grade.

Alan Hirschfeld's BNSF and UP in Colorado and Utah

Alan Hirschfield is constructing a moderate sized layout in 2 rooms of his basement.
